Getting Started
How do I create my first deck?
Open the app, tap the + button on the home screen, and choose "New Deck." Give it a name, then add cards by tapping "Add Card" inside the deck.
What is spaced repetition?
Spaced repetition is a study technique that shows you flashcards at increasing intervals based on how well you remember them. Memoriq uses SM-2 and FSRS algorithms to calculate the optimal review schedule so you spend less time studying while remembering more.
Do I need an account to use Memoriq?
No. Memoriq works fully offline without an account. An account is only needed if you want to enable cloud sync across devices or use AI card generation.

What does Memoriq Pro include?
Memoriq Pro includes everything in the free tier, plus:

How do I subscribe to Memoriq Pro?
Open the app, go to Settings → Memoriq Pro, and choose a monthly ($5.99/month) or yearly ($59.99/year) plan. Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your app store:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Memoriq → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Memoriq → Cancel
Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore my purchases?
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, go to Settings → Memoriq Pro → Restore Purchases. This will re-sync your subscription status with the app store. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you originally used to subscribe.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by the app store where you purchased:
- Apple: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Open Google Play → Account → Order history → find the purchase → Request a refund
Studying & Cards
How does the review scheduling work?
Memoriq includes two proven spaced repetition algorithms — SM-2 and FSRS — both available for free. You can choose which algorithm to use per deck. After each review, you rate how well you remembered the card. The algorithm then calculates the best time to show it again — easy cards appear less often, difficult cards appear more frequently.
Can I add images, audio, or video to cards?
Yes. When editing a card, use the media attachment buttons to add images, record audio, or attach video. Media is stored locally on your device (and synced if cloud sync is enabled).
How do I import or export decks?
Go to Settings → Import/Export. You can import from TSV or ZIP files, and export your decks for backup or sharing. Exported files can also be shared with other Memoriq users.
Account & Data
How do I enable cloud sync?
Create an account (Settings → Account → Sign In), then enable sync from Settings → Sync. Your decks, cards, and review history will sync across all devices signed in to the same account.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all server-side data. Local data on your device is not affected — to delete that, use Settings → Reset App Data.
How do I back up my data?
Go to Settings → Create Backup to export all your decks and study data to a file. Store this file in a safe location (cloud drive, email to yourself, etc.). You can restore from a backup at any time from Settings → Restore Backup.
Troubleshooting
The app is crashing or not responding
Try these steps:
- Force close the app and reopen it.
- Make sure you have the latest version installed from the app store.
- Restart your device.
- If the problem persists, email us at contact@mayappstudio.com with your device model and iOS/Android version.
My data is not syncing
Check the following:
- Make sure you are signed in (Settings → Account).
- Check that sync is enabled (Settings → Sync).
- Verify you have an internet connection.
- Try pulling down to refresh on the deck list.
- If sync is stuck, sign out and sign back in.
Notifications are not working
Make sure notifications are enabled both in the app (Settings → Reminders) and in your device settings (Settings → Notifications → Memoriq). On Android, battery optimization may block notifications — try disabling it for Memoriq.
I'm not seeing my Pro features
Try restoring your purchases: Settings → Memoriq Pro → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account that you used to subscribe. If the issue persists, contact us with your receipt or transaction details.
